Rawls played for four and a half hours, taking only two breaks, as the bar remained filled with fans throughout the show.  During some parts of the show, the crowd dancing in front of the band was so big that is obscured the band.
It was how well Rawls played the blues that many in the audience seemed to enjoy.

Emily Kreitl, a senior in the School of Liberal Arts, said, "It is amazing the way he plays his guitar to the crowd.  It makes you want to get up and dance."
Clarissa Rodda, a senior in the School of Management, said, "I've never seen anyone play the blues like him."
During Rawls's next to last set, a man came dancing up front playing the air guitar.  Rawls played along and the man played a long guitar solo ending in a raucous finale.  Rawls asked the audience to give the man an hand and he received a loud ovation from the audience.
After the final set, Rawls told the audience not to worry since he and his band would be back.
Rawls said, "Kinckerbocker is just one of my favorite spots.  I like the Indiana people, Hoosier people, the fans and the friends."
